Kim Cattrall is clearly trying to put Sex And The City’s Samantha behind her with this film, in which she plays a washed-up pornstar who works as a stripper in a small Indiana town. She’s tracked down by a geeky teen fan for a bit of corny coming-of-age drama involving a range of offbeat side characters, but Kim’s performance is a revelation. After piling on 20 extra pounds and wearing no make-up at all, she proves her acting chops and then some as this bitter, middle-aged has-been trying to get her life back on the rails.
