THE BRITISH GUIDE TO SHOWING OFF (15)

This documentary about the counterculture sculptor and showman Andrew Logan couldn’t be more colourful if it tried.

From the swinging 60s to launching Alternative Miss World in 1972, Britain’s answer to Andy Warhol has been at the centre of London’s queer art scene.

In Logan’s world, everything is better when covered in gold-leaf confetti, and the film gleefully explores every lurid corner of his life while taking us on a trip through the fantastically outrageous Alternative Miss World events over the decades.

Like Logan’s work, this doc is hugely entertaining while also making an important point. See page 4. 8/10
