Tell us about the new night RubberRut, you say it’s an established European brand? Is it a strict rubber dress code?
Yes! Very strict. If you don’t wear rubber you won’t get in. Our host Larry Latex is very strict. Minimum is a rubber jock and boots, but looking at the RubberRut parties in Europe most guys come geared up big time! Rubber suits, harnesses, waders, diving suits, rubber chaps, you name it… Oh, and all those gas masks! It’s very kinky. I’m getting hard just thinking about it.
The event is not related to the established RUT event, right? How did RubberRut come to Hoist?
That’s right! RubberRut is huge on the continent, especially my home country Germany and in Scandinavia. And it has nothing to do with the RUT parties we used to host at The Hoist. Over in Europe RubberRut draws regularly hundreds of sexy rubber guys and latex sluts per event. When a friend of mine from Berlin approached me with the idea bringing it to London, I instantly said yes. To have a sexy regular strict rubber dress code party once a month in Vauxhall is perfect.
What can we look forward on the night?
To start with it’s going to be a very shiny, sexy and dressy night. Latex heaven, so to speak. Wall-to-wall rubber. There will be the biggest tiled wet area in the world sponsored by The Hoist Basements in Berlin. Kitted with tubes, urinals – you name it. There will be a very sexy new bar in arch 2 which we have installed especially for the launch of RubberRut. And there will be stunning new visuals from Larry himself. The Fetish Freak store will be ready to serve with exciting new rubber gear in store. And best of all: the night will bring together for the first time in a long time all rubber loving guys in London. What’s not to like?

It does exactly what it says on the tin. You piss a pint and tell our sexy barmen and he will give you a free pint at the bar. We need to encourage the boys, don’t we?
What other dirrrty events are lined up for the future, especially for Fetish Week?
July will be the busiest Hoist month ever! Man, we’re gonna kick ass! First of all there is ‘Hoist Black’ on Friday 6th July. It’s the strictest dress code men-only party on the planet with leather and rubber dress code only. The day after on Pride Saturday we have ‘The Pervy World Pride Ball’. That will be the best and kinkiest Saturday night Pride party in London.
And than there is Recon Fetish Week, of course. We kick off Fetish Week 2012 in true fetish style on Tuesday 10th July with a two-for-one night and a relaxed dress code. Than there is the ‘Recon Sports Gear Party’ on Thursday, the famous ‘Fetish in the Mix’ party on Saturday, the ‘Summer Skin’ fest also on Saturday night right after the Official Skin Party, a very massive ‘SBN Sunday’ afternoon special party with Donky Dicks on the loose, and to finish it all of the ‘Official Recon Rubber Party’ and the Official Recon closing party ‘Deconstruction’ on the Sunday night. We have been working hard with our friends at Recon and it’s going to be a blast!
What about those rumours that there will be a new and rather exclusive Fetish Bar opening in Vauxhall soon?
I do and all I can say at this stage is it’s going to be fun. It has guys from Berlin behind it and they wanna bring the sexy Berlin vibe to our capital. The Hoist will be getting a face lift at the same time, and those sexy Berliners will whip the London fetish scene seriously back into shape. From what I hear the launch will happen also over the Pride weekend!
