Pride weekend has inspired PLAY>TIME to double it quota of thrilling men to be lusted after by clubgoers from around the world. • 06/07/12: BEAR NECESSITY – HUSTLABALL WEEKEND
Bear Necessity hits London’s World Pride weekend on Friday 6th July. Kicking off the HustalBall weekend at the Brixton Club House – home to the most atmospheric roof terrace in town – they’re bringing together the hottest bears and muscle-bears in town. It promises to be a night to remember with house DJ Louis Lennon, London’s finest Hifi Sean and Sharon O Love providing a night of pumping sexy music. Andy Garcia (Doctor Woof) will be welcoming everyone in his own inimitable cuddly way throughout the night and Alphamale Media, along with other porn studios, will be there to ensure the HustlaBall experience begins with a bang. Eurofest is a shameless celebration of all things Euro-pop… Eurovision fans will flock to this one! With a vibrant atmosphere, and even more vibrant music, even out of touch pop fans will be singing along. Don Grant and leading Eurovision DJ Dave Simmons will be belting out the tunes, old and new for your pleasure. All the way from Stockholm, Shirley Clamp will be performing live-and what with all of the proceeds of Eurofest going to Pride London-you know that your money will be well spent. Pure pop and good deeds-who can complain?

• 06/0712: TECHNO IN MY FRIDGE
We’ve always had an appetite for pulsing bass and hard techno, so thank God that Dalston Superstore are opening the fridge door for us, because we’re definitely hungry again. This time special guest Ivan Smagghe will be serving up the finest in techno beats, while Natalie Coleman treats us to high energy house. Residents Mikki Most and Alexander Parade return to dish up their usual pumping sets and party animals and East London regulars alike, are sure to flock down for a late night snack of strobe flickering and smoke filled action. And while you can expect the usual coolness, in-between the pulsating bodies, this fridge is also pretty hot.

Brought to you by Hannah Holland, DJ Squeaky and Dan Beaumont, celebrating all things New York. The VERY special guest coming over especially for Pride is none other than the lovely Spencer Parker (Rekids). Upstairs, Josh Caffe and Cathal will be bringing tropical beats and jackin’ house. This will be a night of acid, house and vogue with an East London twist.

Bringing you a bumper weekend of events, The Edge is providing an extra special weekender to show the world how us Londoners party. Courtesy of The Edge, Smirnoff will be shaking up the complimentary cocktails in The Flavour Lounge on the top floor. Friday sees Alabastor and Andrew Elmore stirring up the vibe with a mix of Pop, R’n’B and vocal house. While Saturday brings a 15 hour extravaganza of dancers, DJs and drag queens that will literally have the boys out from dawn ‘til dusk. When as dusk falls, resident DJ Zach Burns mixes happy house while the gorgeous GoGo boys provide the eye candy. London’s Infamous mid-week club returns for one night only to celebrate World Pride with a Saturday night special. Hosted in the luscious Brixton Club House, that boasts two floors – which includes an outdoor terrace. They’ve invited Marron Bitch (aka. DJ Fidel) back to play alongside Femi B and Guy Williams in the Saint room. Meanwhile, DJs Slamma and Jeffrey Hinton will keep the Smirnoff flavours outdoor bar moving with help from MC Brandy and Joy on percussions. Expect a step back to Discotec’s heydays; tunes mixed with current dance floor fillers to keep you dancing till the early hours.

After committing a multitude of sins at the raucous events of World Pride, you’re welcomed to come and confess all at East Bloc, where with the return of Songs of Praise, the venue is transformed into a church of trendy lads and hot tracks. Clubbers will be worshipping the brand new tunes and classic pop of the Sugalow Boys, David Oh and Neil Prince at The Altar. Meanwhile in The Chapel, Rod Thomas blesses the crowd with his set of summer scorchers.

As Soho switches off at 8pm, we turn on and our legendary Pride Party draws the sexy boys from the streets into Soho’s only 24hr sauna for a night of fun and frolics. There’s a licensed bar ‘til 3am along with some of London’s top DJs providing tunes from 10pm. But remember-get there early, as last year they were rammed and had to operate a one-in, one-out policy.

It’s the award show we’ve all been waiting for, and no it isn’t the Grammys or the Baftas, it’s the Hotrods. As part of the Hustlaball Pride Weekender, porn king Bruno Knight will be hosting the first ever British gay porn awards. Hailed as a recovery party, with the industry’s sexiest stars performing a scandalous stage show and the ever enticing nominees mingling on the dance floor – we’re pretty sure recovery is the last thing on their mind. Pumping beats delivered by Alessandro Londra, Phil Hewson and David Grossman will keep the crowd dancing well into Monday. Boys, beats and banging action. We can wait to see what the award looks like, although with or without a golden statuette, this ones already a winner.

The amazingly popular Sunday afternoon continues to take Vauxhall by storm, this time with a Pride special. You can expect the usual commercial house and dance anthems that RVTs residents adore. Simon Le Vans will be pumping out the current house tunes, while Andy Almighty ensures to have the crowd on their feet with commercial remixes and party anthems, before Sean Sirrs closes the venue. The brilliantly versatile D. E. Experience (aka Jonathan Hellyer) is on stage at 5.30pm with hilarious stand up and live vocals for a special show themed ‘YOUR PRIDE’, created from the songs that make you feel proud about your life, proud of your love and proud about the way you party.
