29/06/13: What a busy week! TOWIE’s Lucy and Dan made a sex tape (which we would kill to see), Amanda Bynes continued her downward spiral (yay!) and Kim and Kanye topped the most ridiculous baby name chart. Things got even busier over London’s biggest Pride weekend to date!
The Big Dance Tent turned things out with every dosing of house, with underground beats from Jodie Harsh to remixes from Kris Di Angelis and Adam Turner. Sounds that had the crowd more energised than Lee Evans on speed.
Things got Bootlicious in the Urban Tent with Mark Ashley Dupé laying beats that had us droppin’ to the floor.Kartel Brown and Q Boy were also on the roster; and come evening the whole tent was shuffling along to ‘Candy’.
We popped by The Eagle/Horse Meat Disco, which had Jim Stanton and Jonny Kalifornia running the disco.The Cabaret Tent, which may as well have been held up by copious amounts of hairspray, was hosted by Dusty O – while Tasty Tim and Lady Lloyd were on decks.
DJs Top Stephan, Pagano and Borja Pena were among the few that had Shorebitches more excited than Ke$ha at a hideous headpiece convention. We inspected the weapons of the War soldiers, had a taste of the Dish-y delights and went from being vainly Handsome to a bit of a Gutterslut. That’s why it’s ‘All About East’. *Files Nails*.
Finally, we showed our faces – and the occasional nipple – at the Pop Circus for Atomic Kitten, who were ‘Whole Again’ for the event.
We also enjoyed the likes of the hilarious Queens of Pop that did their infamous parody of the previous act, along with the likes of Steps and Girls Aloud. Among the groups of beautiful boys, eclectic DJ sets and good weather – it was definitely a day to remember! Roll on next year’s Pride!
