Wow. A fetish club night… in Ibiza? We love it! Whose crazy idea was that?
Ibiza is renowned for being a clubbing destination for the gay circuit party boys, but despite the huge gay tourism on the island a fetish club night has never been a fixture there. The idea has been floating around for a while and Recon teamed up with the Sleazy Madrid guys to make it a reality for summer 2013.
Will there be a cruising or play space?
You are asking us? Really…? Of course! The theme and mood of our play space will probably be new to the Ibiza gay scene, and we’re happy to introduce the boys to the darker side of “fun in the sun”.
OK, yeah, stupid question. Presumably security will be ‘lenient’ to gay adventures given that there will be a dark room?
Would we organize a fetish event somewhere where our guests would not be able to play? Of course it will be lenient! We want them to get their cocks out!

Moma formerly Martina Disco at Garbi Hotel, is a franchise of Madrid’s venue of the same name. Following its rebranding in late 2012, the club has been kitted out with an amazing sound system. We are looking forward to giving the venue our special Into The Tank makeover and bringing the perfect kinky atmosphere to the Islanders.
And considering the sweltering heat, what kind of dress codes are you expecting?
It’s up to the guys – anything goes from full rubber – for the fans of sweaty men – to Speedos, sportswear, shorts, jocks and harnasses, and those who dare to be a bit more extreme…
So, there will be changing facilities?
MOMA has a large sitting area opposite their cloakroom, which we are blocking off as the changing area. Summer time in Ibiza is going to be pretty warm, so I don’t anticipate that there’ll be a lot of changing. Most guys will probably come in sports gear or something like a jock – they’ve only got to pull their shorts off and they’re in! Or someone else goes in… [laughs]
What DJs are involved?
We have the wonderful and internationally renowned Manuel Carranco and Juanma Herrera who will play a mixture of heavy and tribal tunes. We like our beats like our men… dirty! We have the wonderful and internationally renowned DJ/Producer Manuel Carranco who has played for Recon and Into The Tank many times before. Juanma Herrera who was catapulted into the national spotlight in the summer of 2010. And DJ Elias who, since 1994, has been a resident DJ at Space Ibiza. Since 1997, he’s been part of the DJ crew of La Demance in Brussels and eventually became resident DJ at Circuit Festival in Barcelona in 2008. It’s the perfect combination of accomplished DJs who know how to satisfy the most demanding crowd.
