Forget selfies! The mirror shot is for amateurs. Will Kane’s unique Calendar Boys costume shoots will give you a day (and a photo) to remember.

We took a look at your website and wow, just how many fancy dress costumes does a boy need?

Thanks! Well I currently have 50+ outfits and many, many props. I initially acquired the ones that I thought were sexy and it sort of snowballed from there, I kind of got a little carried away LOL. The 50 I’ve chosen are a good selection of what I think gay guys like. I’ve covered as many porno genres as I could think of. I’m sure there are others that I could include but perhaps these are a tad more obscure and not as stereotypical but am always happy to work with a customer to supply their fantasy outfit.

What’s your favourite costume?

Well I think there is an element of sexiness in them all, however the California Highway Patrol outfit is a particular favourite and has been ever since I saw Erik Estrada as Officer Jon “Ponch” Poncherello in 70’s cop show CHiPs. Maybe it was the tight jodhpurs, maybe it was the shiny black boots or maybe it was the gold aviators or maybe a combination of the entire outfit LOL I also like country gent, construction and cowboy. A man in a suit tends to get my attention too. Popular with clients so far are doctor/surgeon, paramedic and UPS guy which goes to show some guys fantasy outfits are everyday heroes.

What was Stuart Hatton (Mr Gay UK 2013) like to work with?

Stuart came down from Sunderland and was a pleasure to work with from the start. He was open and enthusiastic and willing to dress/pose in anything. He is super chatty and full of mischief until the camera is pointed at him, then is a true professional. I think he enjoyed the chav /trackies look and the cowboy, in fact I had to frisk him to ensure he didn’t try and pinch the boots to take home!

How long have you been a photographer? And what makes you different?

I have always been interested in photography and always carried a camera from when I was knee-high! I always got a new camera for Christmas. From the 110 to the disc camera, I used to always have a disposable in my bag and then of course mobile phones came along and changed everything. I use a Canon 650D and whilst my studio is compact and bijou (you could barely swing a mouse let alone cat) I have good lighting and therefore the pics look clear and sharp.

After I take the pics, I Photoshop the image and add a background to match the outfit i.e. fire-fighter standing beside a fire engine or a rugby player on the pitch or in a changing room. I source Amazon, eBay, Gumtree to ensure my outfits are as authentic as possible. My many props add the finishing touch to the outfits and also a comedic and saucy element too.

I don’t think there are any other photographers offering what I offer. I’ve seen offers on deal-of-the-day websites such as Groupon offering photo shoots. They do your hair and make-up (not sure that’s entirely applicable in my case LOL) but you only end up with one pic and you have to supply your own clothes. In my shoot I provide your favourite fantasy outfit, alter the background and you end up with hundreds of pics, some with backgrounds if you’ve chosen them and all at a very reasonable

rate in a relaxed fun and more importantly unhurried shoot. Some guys who aren’t your stereotypical baldy beardy bear may have always wanted to wear a pair of chaps for example but would feel a little embarrassed. During my shoot you can totally be yourself and unleash your fantasies without fear of ridicule or prejudice something we know exists all too well on the scene.

So we can see policemen, builders, dungeon masters and cowboys on the website. I want to be a Disney Princess. Can you sort me out?

A Disney Princess eh? Well I’ve met many a queen but never a Princess so I’d do my best to see you right you’re Royal Highness LOL. As long as you aren’t built like a shipyard docker, am sure I could sew two tutu’s together (is that a fourfour?) that combined with some liberally applied chiffon I could run up on Kathy Beale’s old swing machine I got for a song down the market, topped off with a tiara you’d be a cross between Princess Margaret and Geoff Capes in sling backs…

What is included in the package you offer?

Besides from spending several hours in my sparking company, the chance to dress in as many fantasy fetish outfits as humanly possibly in one day that even Mr Benn and The Village People would be envious off! Wonderfully unique pics that you can turn into a coffee table book, canvass, calendar so you can admire yourself 365 days a year. Or a cushion so someone could sit on your face even when you’re not home!

Seriously though customers can expect a fun filled shoot in great costumes with plenty of props along with some light refreshments and the end result amazingly unique pics that you can display in whatever format you see fit, the cushion was a joke (at least I hope it was) so to summarise a great day out with memories to last forever.

What if the builder’s helmet is the only thing a customer wants to wear? Do you do nudes?

Will I need some cheese wire to help them keep it up? I may have Debbie McGee’s accent but that’s where the cunning stunts end sadly. Yes I am happy to do ‘adult’ pics. If a customer wants some pics with their business out the zipper or to have a mixture of clothed, partially clothed then just props then that’s cool.

Am also happy for couples to dress up and act out scenes but draw the line at actual nookie. I’m a photographer not a pornographer… If my cheese wire is in the dishwasher then I have an array of DVD’s to arouse any appetite as my fluffing days are over but prefer to stop before anyone reaches a conclusion as my dry cleaning bills are already staggering not to mention the additional looks I’ll get…
