We LOVE a Sunday night out. Actually, we love any night out. But we particularly love Sunday nights out. It’s sunglasses and sangria vibes. It’s a nice little bonus to the weekend. Like, you’re sat at home, watching The People Vs OJ Simpson or something, and you’re a bit hungover from the night before, and you’re just startin to think “I’ve got work in the mornin’, should probs get mah beauty sleep.”
THEN THE PHONE RINGS. It’s Hilton, your Jamaican friend you met in the smoking area of Fire in 2011. “Aren’t you coming out mate?!” he shouts, over a bustling background sound of Charli XCX and sexual fluidity. You are confused. But it’s a Sunday? He laughes his rich molasses laugh. “Sundays are the new Saturday. Get with it mate.” He hangs up. You order an Uber.
That’s what’s gonna happen when it all kicks off this week. Yes, Orange, London’s original number one Sunday night dance destination, has a new promoter. Steven Artis will be revolutionizing Sunday nights with a rip-roaring, star-studded, super party!
He’s now at the helm of this iconic Orange Nation event, so prepare yourself for a new sound, a new look, a new vibe, a new Orange – the future is bright, and it tastes fresh!
Steven is bringing in some new monthly residents, Mattias Dabo and Alex Georgiou, to DJ alongside himself. But don’t worry, everyone’s favourite DJs are still going to be there – Zach Burns, Miswhite, Hifi Sean and Fat Tony.
Orange is going to be recharged for a new generation with three rooms refreshed and rebranded, with a cool new look, new decor and new sound. And there’s going be 100% fresh vocal house and disco in the boombox disco room.
The new Orange will be every Sunday from 11pm till 7am on Monday morning and entry will be just £1 before 1am with lots of 2-4-1 drinks offers. Industry workers get in for free and can also reserve a table on production of a pay-slip.
