It’s beginning to look a lot like…COMPTONS. They’ve got a booming December for ya at the Grand Dame of Soho. Just look at that poster. Have you ever wanted a Santa to empty his sack down your chimney more than this? Daddy Christmas, anyone?
Anyway, festivities really get cooking this Thursday, with their Christmas extravaganza. Cabaret confounder and sultry songstress Mzz Kimberley tops the bill, backed up by Eric Robinson on the piano, and they’ll be playing all your seasonal faves! All of ‘em. As well as this, they’re promising free fizz, mulled wine and mince pies. It’ll be just like your living room on Christmas morning, all without your racist grandparents asking if there’s any white people left in London. No, instead, it’ll be swaying with beefy blokes, mistletoe snogs and then Tasty Tim taking to the decks for the rest of the evening. It’s going to be camper than Carly Rae Jepson’s version of Last Christmas. Yes, even the Ariana Grande one.
Aside from that, they’ve also got their usual range of clubland DJs bringing a bit of late-night Vauxho to Soho. This week, they’ve got Miswhite on the Friday and Fat Tony on the Saturday, as well as Alex Eugenio on the Monday. There’s a host of other familiar faces playing throughout this month, as well as an extra-late opening until 5am on New Year’s Eve, so get yourself down there this Christmas time!
