Camp cabaret confection Le Gateau Chocolat is arriving at The Soho Theatre this Christmas season, with some sugar-coated slices of sonorous delight!
Oozing with charisma and effortless talent, Le Gateau is a cabaret icon. With his strikingly unique look at operatic vocal chords, he’s been turning heads from Holloway to Hackney!
In this latest show, Le Gateau mixes things into a heavenly mélange of satirical character performance, with sprinkles of his own personality thrown in. The show is called “Icons” so of course, it focuses on the people, the moments, the books, the relationships that have come to shape us, or the idea we aspire to.
There’ll be all sorts of homages to iconique (yes, “iconique” spelled with q) artists and performers. A journey through pop to opera, with shout-outs to Kate Bush, Whitney Houston and Pavarotti to name but a few. What a dinner party THAT would be.
Anyway, throw on a ballgown and storm down to Soho, it’s gonna be an unmissable night.
