Disco Brunch!

There’s a new brunch in town

There’s nothing that gays do better than brunch. It’s more than just a meal. It’s a way of life. It’s a way of rejecting the heteronormative meal structures that shackle us down. And perhaps most importantly, it’s a great excuse to start drinking around noon. Not that that stops us normally, but it feels a little more socially acceptable with food. There’s something about avocado that lends legitimacy to drinking vodka during the day.

Dalston Superstore puts on one of the best brunches in London, all in the same room where you were dancing with that moustachioed hottie the night before. Not only is the menu a gorgey cacophony of poached eggs, sourdough and mimosas, but they serve it with a side of energetic drag queens too! Each and every Sunday, a different gang takes control of bringing entertainment to the hungover masses. Whether it’s Neil Prince and Miss Craig’s Power Ballad request fest, Dr Sharon Husband’s dragony aunt sessions, or ShayShay’s Breakfast in Bed, you’re in for a manic treat! It all kicks off at midday, so round up your girls and bathe in the unparalleled restorative powers of Disco Brunch!

• Disco Brunch is every Sunday, 12-4pm, at Dalston Superstore, 117 Kingsland High Street, E8 2PB
