You just don’t know who you’re going to bump into on London’s club scene…rubbing shoulders with people from all walks of life is part of the adventure.
At Super Hot Sitting Spot at restaurant and bar Hoi Polloi (100 Shoreditch High Street, Ace Hotel) on Thursday 23rd March, artist Dominic Myatt celebrates a book launch. No Kissing is a collection of erotic drawings. From 8pm-midnight, join him and friends, with a soundtrack supplied by DJ’s Jonjo Jury and guest Jeffrey Hinton.
On the same night, it’s Naked Boys Reading: Edging in the Miranda Bar in Ace Hotel’s basement from 7:30pm onwards. Curated by Chris Parkes, this cult evening with hostess Dr Sharon Husbands and DJ Duchess of Pork is enlightening in all sorts of ways!
Down at Royal Vauxhall Tavern, it’s the last night of David Hoyle’s show series Triumpvirate on Thursday 23rd. Special guest Lavinia Co-op joins Hoyle for a memorable and unique experience. 7pm-11pm.
On Friday 24th catch monthly showcase The ShayShay Show with a theme of Cosmos at Performance Space over at LimeWharf, Vyner Street E2. ShayShay invites friends to unleash their imaginations into outer space. The Phoenix, Johnny Bones, Felix Le Freak are among the performers experimenting and entertaining us from 6pm-11pm.
Later on, on Friday 24th, Rad Festa is back at Vogue Fabrics or VFD as it’s called nowadays. I’m DJing, along with Jeffrey Hinton and resident Alexandre Simões, plus throughout the night performance from Ms Kevin Le Grand, Kale Dogan and Eugenia Shishkina. 10pm-3am.
Fancy bumping into experimental drag star A Man To Pet? She’s up at Dalston Superstore on Saturday 25th doing a night A Man To Pet’s Basic Boys. Sexy boys everywhere, dancing on the bar giving you BB (basic boys), ha ha! DJs include Terry Vietheer, Trenton Chase, Pet Piss, Bica and more!
Round off your weekend on Sunday 26th with Ask Dr Shaz, a brunch experience at Dalston Superstore from 12 midday to 4pm, with Dr Sharon Husbands answering all your personal queries…while the Duchess of Pork DJs.
A quick note – Lipsync1000 at The Glory on Wednesdays, you’ll wish you went. It’s heat 7 of the 8 heats on 29th March so get down there, I can’t tell you how much you’re going to enjoy this event whether you enter or go for the ride! 8pm until midnight!
