The Gay Men’s Dance Company Charity Gala – Exclusive pics from the GMDC’S glittering event!

08/04/17: Once in a while, an event comes around that makes you realise how important the community really is. Just how damn important it is for us to stand together, be visible, be proud and support each other. This was one of those events. The Gay Men’s Dance Company’s Gala shone bright at the Troxy, in support of the newly created Alex Scurr Foundation, which aims to help a healthy and connected community – all proceeds from the night went to this noble cause. And it was a sight to behold! The show blew everyone’s mind: Britney and BeyoncĂ© numbers, tributes to our late George Michael, a gay take on West Side Story, pole dancing, a Magic Mike number (where a few audience members got a lap dance), the choir, beautiful singing drag queens and pop stars…the show simply surprised and took everyone’s breath away at every turn! And proceedings were all perfectly augmented by the GMDC’s choreography and the talent of all these fabulous dancers, many of whom came on stage for the very first time in their lives! Wowzers! I can’t stress how beautiful, exciting, touching and moving every second of this extravaganza was to everyone present at the event. Alex, GMDC, everyone involved – thank you for being such amazing pillars of our community and thank you for all you’ve done!
