#JULIASAYS – Discerning scene musings from the princess of East London!

Princess Julia Dalston

I’m not one for living in the past, but I do love a reunion! I mean there’s so many of them, what with the announcement of Bananarama reforming with original members for a string of concerts!

And then there’s this…Ghetto Mix Tape on Friday 5th May at Bloc South. OMG! The Ghetto was one of those very important Soho clubs of the 00’s where the nucleus of London’s alternative nightlife was rife. For this party pop in for a night of amazingness with Nag Nag Nag in room 1 and Jonny Slut revisiting a slamming set of electronic dance music. Room 2 Wig Out and room 3 Miss-Shapes. On from 10 till 4am.

Staying South, it’s Debbie Does Eagle at the Eagle in Vauxhall on Saturday May 6th. This camp indie-rock-pop night is where Sina Sparrow DJs his across the board set of classics all night long.

Meanwhile, East London is still hot and happening…Sink For Your Speedos: Summer Live Music Jam at The Glory Saturday 6th May. An evening with live music and performance hosted by Lypsync 1000 winner Sue Gives A Fuck, and musical artists Danny Polaris, Steven Smith, Sabers, Spaniel & The Fox. It all kicks off at 7pm and with shows until 9:30pm, after which The Glory progresses into late night hedonism until 2am. Catch up with them and all their nights at theglory.co.

Heading into the season of festivals, here’s one for your diaries – Mighty Hoopla on June 4th at Victoria Park E3. It’s a gay pop extravaganza with a multitude of goings on and amazing headline act Years & Years, who we love! Tents hosted by all our favourite places to go Sink The Pink on the main stage and The Glory’s Bird Cage. Grab a ticket now!
