Bianca Del Rio joins the QX team with a brand new weekly advice column

She’s been called “the Joan Rivers of drag”, “a clown in a gown” and “a hateful cunt”.

But we just call her Bianca Del Rio, the winner of a little-known show called RuPaul’s Drag Race and QX’s new resident agony aunt.

Bianca’s taking time out of her busy schedule writing her book and preparing to bring her new show Blame It On Bianca to the UK in July to sit down and answer YOUR problems, until she sells enough tickets for her London show that is – 27th July, Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, get your tickets now, etc.

So here she is, the self-proclaimed expert of nothing with an opinion on everything. Strap yourself in, because if someone’s turning to Bianca Del Rio for advice, you know they gotta be desperate…

Dear Bianca. I’m 19 and I’ve started coming out to my close friends, and I’m working myself up towards telling my family. There’s a gay guy at work though who knows I’m gay – thanks, Scruff – and he always tells me to come out to everyone we work with. Do I have to come out at work? And if I do, what’s the best way to do it? From Dan.

First of all, the guy that you work with wants to fuck you – that’s the problem. He’s probably a paedophile.

Second of all, I don’t think anyone cares if you come out. I never came out to my parents. I never sat down and said, ‘Hey, this is what I’m doing.’ My brother never sat down and told my mother and father, ‘Hey, I like pussy.’ So I don’t think it’s necessary. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Live your life and make sure it’s a life you want.

If you have a boyfriend then you could maybe say, ‘Hey, I’ve been seeing somebody and I like them.’ But to just say, ‘Hi, I’m gay!’ Believe me, they know you’re fucking gay. Do you decorate the Christmas tree at Christmas? Are you the first one to say, ‘Mom, your roots need to be done.’ They know you’re a faggot, so don’t act so shocked by it.

If you have somebody that’s important in your life, then I think discuss it. But if you just say, ‘Hi, I’m gay,’ they might be a little more concerned about it because gay life is kind of scary to straight people. Unless they’re a Republican politician in America – they’re always getting their dicks sucked by some fag and then the scandal comes out later during the campaign. It’s true! I’m knowledgeable! Yeah I was 19, yeah I sucked the dick of a Republican and yeah I decorated a tree. Who are you to judge? WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE?!
