#JULIASAYS – Discerning scene musings from the princess of East London

In the depths of winter, doom and gloom can certainly come over us all of a sudden…this week I had a ‘weight lifting’ moment. I won’t go into too much detail but suffice to say said weight has lifted and I’m feeling all positive. Hope you’re well, dear readers, and ready for the week ahead!

I’ve got lots to tell you about all the regular hotspots and more! The pub that’s also a late night bar downstairs, The Queen Adelaide on Hackney Road, is also an art space called White Cubicle. On Thursday 25th they present the work of Jack O’Brien for an installation of his work from 9.30pm to 3am.

The club night that’s also a zine, a t-shirt and is choc full of pin-ups, MEAT, yes that’s the one is back on Saturday 27th January up at Dalston Superstore. Can I cope? Yes I can! The Meat boys have lined up Chaka Khan’t, Cozette me too to DJ upstairs. Downstairs Tomboy and the ever-fabulous Hannah Holland lay down the dance floor vibes till 3am.

Then, as mentioned last week Chapter 10 is back for an all night queer rave on Saturday 27th up at Bloc. Autumn Street E3 in the depths of Hackney till 6am. Dan Beaumont and Charlie Porter bring on the beats all night long!

Recovery position anyone then come and join me at The Glory for a reviving splash of something invigorating at Princess Julia Loves… on Sunday 28th with my special guest performer Grace Shush. Doors at 5pm and it goes on till 11pm.
