Do you ever get the feeling of déjà-vu?! You’ve been somewhere before, and everything seems the same but different.

I’ve got lots of news for you this week, beginning with wonderful Jacqui Potato, who’s been busy with her pens sketching our nearest and dearest with faithful accuracy. Jacqui’s portrait exhibition Just The Tips launches on Thursday 8th March with a little early evening private view. I’ll be DJing from 6pm, and it’s on until 22nd April at the Kreativ House Gallery, 280 Mare Street. Open weekdays 10am-5pm.   

‘Nightclubbing we’re nightclubbing, we’re what’s happening!’ Haha words from Iggy Pop! But yeah, Homostash – Fetish edition – with headliner Deepchild (Aus/Berlin) is on Friday 9th March at Dalston Superstore. Join Deepchild from the good old Berlin Berghain, plus Fidel & Ben Owen down in the Superstore pits. Fannar, Carly Foxx and Tafkanik giving it entrance action in the upstairs bar till 3am!

Super exciting news; Shutdown is the newest weekly Friday night club on the scene launching on Friday 9th March at Sedition, 217 City Road. Two rooms with ‘performances and MC’s weaving through queer hip, afro beat and ballroom towards late night electro’ in the front parlour whilst out the back consists of ‘Experimental mosh-pit of post punk disco, hard house and ad hoc synth punk performances thrown in’. Join London’s avant superstars Jeanie Crystal and Kevin Le Grand, MC Jay Jay Revlon, DJ’s A Boy from Outer Space, Kartel Brown, Samantha Togni, SKNKONTAKT (Max Allen & Juniper Lai) and Warboy. Performance from Karnage. On till 6am.

Dead exclusive Love Your Self at The W Hotel, 11 Leicester Sq on Friday 9th March launches with a get on the guest list affair hosted by Dani St James and Johanna Londinium, music from DJ Fat Tony with special guest Jim Stanton of Horse Meat Disco

Back in for Spice Up Your Brunch with Just May at the Dalston Superstore on Saturday 10th March from 12 till 4pm. The entertaining Just May puts on a show while you munch on yer sough dough platter!

After celebrating its birthday last week, The Glory hits us up with more shenanigans…Super Friday every Friday and this week 9th March starring Crystal Beth and Crystal Lubrikunt. Monthly Sunday parties return on the 11th March for Bingo Babes, more bingo mayhem with Barbs!, Crytsal Beth and Xntony, it gets messy! Book in now for The Glory Theatre which presents a brand new play SEX/CRIME starring Jonny Woo and Alexis Gregory opening on April 9th for 14 dates. theglory.co 

Something on the horizon…this year we celebrate the club that set the scene over in Vauxhall in 1998, CRASH opened its doors an amazing 20 years ago and although not with us anymore, an anniversary later this year is planned archiving the flyers, memories and highlights of this seminal night. Watch this space!
