Our favourite pop star Kim Petras has had a fab few months. She’s been on stage with Charli XCX, she’s clocked up millions of listens on Spotify, and she’s brought back 90s narrow sunglasses (not many people can pull them off, but Kim 100% does).
Now she’s released a music video for her summery slice of pop perfection, ‘Heart To Break.’ It’s just hit 1 million views on YouTube, and it’s full of vivid crystals, cute queer kids and pastel colours. Kim skips around a big pink tower, trying on outfits and just generally being gorge.
It’s all very Rapunzel – if Rapunzel wore narrow sunglasses, churned out pop bangers and was mates with Charli XCX. Imagine a live action Disney crossover, starring Kim Petras as Rapunzel and Charli XCX as Snow White, that would be super camp. Directed by Sofia Coppolla.
Anyway, the styling in the video is super cool, the aesthetic is super cool, and we’ve got a super crush on the boy in it. Also we can’t stop doing the dance Kim does at 2:16. IT’S THE PERFECT CLUB DANCEFLOOR DANCE;
Kim is performing at London’s Courtyard Theatre on 25th May, as well as Birmingham Pride and G-A-Y Heaven on 26th May.
