Sophie Ellis-Bextor to headline Pride in London

Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Yes! Everyone’s fave ‘Take Me Home’ double-barreled chanteuse, Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be trotting over to Trafalgar Square on 7th July to lend her dulcet tones to the UK’s biggest pride celebration, with an estimated 1 million people taking to the capital’s streets to party.

She’ll be joined by Drag Race alumni Alyssa Edwards and Courtney Act and fresh-faced pop squirrel George Shelley, as well as Eurovision contender SuRie and leaf-wearing pride stalwart Sinitta!

There’ll be loads of other stuff going on as well as the main music acts, with 100 acts across four stages, including a turn from the cast of acclaimed musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, and drag king action from Zayn Phalic (what a name!) on the cabaret stage.

We are extremely proud to bring some of our community’s biggest and brightest stars to our stages for Pride in London this year,” says Executive Producer Ian Massa-Harris-McFeely. “Our ambition is always to showcase and give a platform to all the incredible and diverse LGBT+ community acts and performers our city has to offer, alongside some amazing headline artists from the UK music industry across four stages.”
