I’m so excited about one of my fave zines – Polyester: Issue Eight launches with a party at the Resistance Gallery, 265 Poyser Street, E2 this Thursday 2nd August. I’m DJing along with my faves Jender Anomie, Hannahlouisef and Maggie & Rene. It’s on from 8pm-1am and free to get in.
Who’s been to the Karaoke Hole up in Dalston lately? It’s really good fun and this Thursday 3rd, they’ve got Lesbian Karaoke with Gusher! from 9pm-2am. Yes girls and boys, join the charismatic Usher impersonator Gusher for an evening where you get to take the mic and belt out a classic or two!
Ooh look at this! Homostash take on Vauxhall with a launch party on Friday 3rd August at the Eagle. Expect a party atmosphere with DJs Tafkanik, Fannar (MEAT) and special guest A B S O L U T E from Turbo recordings and is protege of Tiga. Plus go-go dancers and performance from Lulu Love and Ashraf Ejjbair, no wait there’s more… visuals from Rodrigo Branco, first 100 in get a Stoli Vodka shot and there’s free moustaches and badges! Oh and it’s also resident doorkeeper, model and superstar ROY INC’s birthday! 9pm-4am.
Staying East then, head to TUSK at Dalston Superstore where Alinka (Twirl) & Jess Farley (Rhythm Sister) DJ along with Chris Champlin, Ant C, Sanjay Sur and James Ballie over two floors on Saturday 4th August from 9pm till 3am.
I’ll be holding the fort at The Glory with Princess Julia Loves this Sunday 5th August while The Glory’s Big Gay Barn Dance takes over Brighton Pride at Club Tropicana, Pride Pleasure Gardens from 2 till midnight if you’re up that way… perhaps I’ll bunk off and head to Brighton Pride for a knees up!
