Are you feeling cute or sexy? Chappy gets a face-lift!

It’s been a year since gay dating app Chappy launched, and it has quickly become a go-to for gays looking for a husband. Following the departure of founders Jack Rogers and Ollie Locke, the company’s new Global Head of Branding Sam Dumas has given the app a fresh new look.

The company has announced that it’s changing from the signature black, to a funky new post-millennial peach. The peach colour will surely go with all the peach emojis sent over the app…

Their new tagline ‘Gay Relationships’ makes clear on the app’s focus on building relationships between gay men. The app’s sliding scale has also been changed. Perviously you swiped people who were looking for either “Mr Right”, the man you want to walk down the aisle, and “Mr Right Now”, the man you want to have you walking funny. It has now been changed ‘Cute’ and ‘Sexy’, so depending on how you feel you can have a meet-cute or a sexy time.

Sam Dumas, Global Head of Brand at Chappy told us that “Chappy is dedicated to listening to the community. We regularly survey our users and hold focus groups – it’s the best way to understand the needs of the different communities we serve. We found that there were ways in which we could be better, ways we could make the platform more engaging, more fun and more inviting. ”

The ‘Cute & Sexy’ Chappy relaunch is now!
