Dishoom are throwing a fundraising party to celebrate India’s legalisation of homosexuality

In some VERY LONDON news, effortlessly sought-after restaurant Dishoom have decided to throw a charity shindig – featuring DJs and free food – in celebration of India’s recent legalisation of homosexuality.

If you haven’t heard of Dishoom, it’s one of THOSE restaurants. One of those “we haven’t got a table but feel free to wait by the bar” restaurants. The kind of restaurant Samantha from Sex & The City would swan into with a clipboard and a self-satisfied grin.

They’ve teamed up with Asian LGBT+ media platform Gaysians to bring you an aromatic, awe-inspiring celebration of love and freedom. All ticket proceeds will be split between two charities; Sappho for Equality, a Kolkata-based organisation fighting for the rights of lesbians, bisexual women, and trans men in Eastern India, and SAATHII, a charity with offices across India that envisions universal access to rights, health, legal and social services for communities marginalised by HIV status, gender and/or sexuality.

So get your party on, give to a good cause, and while you’re at it, eat the best samosas of your LIFE. Tickets here.
