We all deserve to treat ourselves every now and then, so why does it feel the treats we crave are somehow bad for us? All the excesses, the hedonistic nights and living life on the edge…perhaps they’re not treats at all, but necessities in the human experience of living a full life. Maybe it’s actually society conditioning us into thinking they’re all naughty things, and we really should be behaving ourselves in the pit of so called ‘normality’? Now there’s something to ponder!

Our very own ‘avant-guardian and cabaret terrorist’ David Hoyle launches Electric Cars for a four-week run at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on Thursday 27th September. Special guest Baby Lame gets on board for the first week, along with resident wise person Pam Lustgarten. It’s got a host of special guests each week, with Le Gateau Chocolat on 4th October, Kelly Wild on 11th October and the grand finale on 18th October with Veda.  Doors 7pm, all the rest you know!

This Karaoke malarky is really taking off isn’t it! ABBA-solutely Karaoke on Thursday 27th Sept with Just May and ShayShay at the Karaoke Hole from 8pm till 2am looks a right larf! Join these two glammed up ABBA fans for a cathartic evening, where you are the stars of an Abba musical set in Dalston!

A lovely evening of foot shuffling at Soul Attic with Fred Mann and Ronnie King at Farrs School of Dancing, 17-19 Dalston Lane on Thursday 27th from 9pm-midnight. Special guest DJ Superfried joins them at this rarified, free-to-get-in evening.

Just what you need on an Autumnal night…yes Clash Bash no.06 ~ Fringe Fest, a one night only festival devoted to a hairstyle – the ‘fringe’, ha ha! Get any old look on and bob off with a bob on, on 28th Sept at Dalston Superstore.  9pm-3am with DJs El Tuma, Knickerbocker, Wax Wings and hosted by Joey Fourr and Finn Love!

Cult night Lobotomy Room Dance Party is back on Friday 28th at Fontaine’s 176 Stoke Newington Road. From 10pm, ‘revel in sleaze’ to a soundtrack of pure underground kitsch rock ‘n; roll, hosted by Graham Russell ‘til 1.30am. Free to get in!

At The Glory this Friday 28th, get in early for a free show at 8pm. Introducing Margo is a work in progress dance and theatre piece, directed by Jonny Woo. Premiering in November, it’s a chance to see the raw unadulterated talent of Margo Marshall in action!

Then Trashed at The Glory continues from 9pm till 2am on 28th, where Miss Taylor Trash gives you a Friday night to remember, with shows and action from Soroya Marchelle and Mary Poppers, floor host Chase, free shots and DJ musik from DJ BIG G and Michael Kelly in the basement!

Beautiful night for beautiful people! Mariah & Friendz: The Butterfly Returns at The Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club on Saturday 29th September. Shows from Baby Lame, Crystal Beth, Tayce, Mynxie Monroe and Dale Morgan.  9pm till 2am.

Then, back with a bang, it’s meat at Dalston Superstore! Oh yes, on Saturday 29th September where this month. DJs Love Glove, Sugarbear, Tafkanik, Michelle Manetti and Synth System Systers take to the decks with the resident MEAT BOYS Fannar and Adrian. Pus 3 hot gogo boys work the bar…I say! What a treat! 9pm ‘til 3am. 

The one you’ve been waiting for…it’s the Adonis 1st Birthday ‘rave up’ at The Cause, Ashley House, Ashley Road in Tottenham Hale from 10pm till 6am!

Then my dears, Princess Julia LOVES…this week on Sunday 30th, featuring performance from Johnny Bones! Special DJ guest Jacqui Potato will be holding the fort while I run off to see the last ever Soft Cell show tonight!  7pm – 11pm, free to get in, lovely cocktails and friendly staff!
