#JULIASAYS – Discerning scene musings from the princess of East London!

I’d like to impart some wise words as we approach the fall… something reflective perhaps, but as I think about the brilliant summer we’ve had it seems it never ends as this week there’s so many fabu things going on who cares what time of year it is or what the weather’s like!

I’m super excited to remind you that the major Christeene currently on the Basura Tour is doing a London gig at a venue called The Dome in Tufnell Park on Thursday 6th September. Support act comes from Karnage. We’re all going, so see you there!

Christeene

Fancy seeing a very little group art show that I’ve got a painting in? It’s at this shop called M.Goldstein at 67 Hackney Road from Friday 7th till 21st September, shop times 12-6pm and features work from Luella Bartley, Louise Gray, James Dearlove and Augenblick to name just a few. If you’re feeling flush you can buy one too!

Up at The Glory this Friday 7th September it’s TROUBLE, where John Sizzle, Jacqui Potato and DJ Fannar are having a ‘drag tag brawl’ over two floors with shows and music till 2am! If you haven’t witnessed what’s in Jacqui’s handbag then you’re in for a treat, as she’ll probably reveal all!

Get ye down to the Dalston Superstore this weekend! Friday 7th Sassitude Vol. XIV takes up residency with DJs Jender Anomie, Emily Rose England and Timothy Gibbons. In the basement, it’s Chaka Khan’t and IONA. It’s hosted by Just May! Then on Saturday 8th September, it’s the monthly outing to BUM.P // Autumn Issue 18 at Dalston Superstore where I’ll be DJing in the basement this time, along with all our faves J. Aria, Jacqui Potato and Mark Ashley Dupé in the bar, and joining me Josh Caffe until 3am.

Cult night Transister at Cell 200, 3 Vale Royal, Kings Cross on Saturday 8th September presents a legendary LGBTQI club night, originally based at the Resistance Gallery. DJs Adriana Bradford and HALO-IS front the night, with special guests going on until a whopping 7am.

There’s performance from Karnage, BadLay-Dee, Rhyss Pieces, Zayn Phallic and Romeo Dela Cruz.

On Sunday 9th September, why not round off the week and come and visit me at The Glory where it’s Princess Julia Loves… my special guest this week is the one and only Barbs! Banned from Instagram for revealing too much (here’s a clue, she’s not called Barbs Balls for nothing!) From 7pm till 11pm enjoy performances and music, oh and the odd cocktail.

Partay time at The Queen Adelaide…RAD FEST-inha back for one night only on Tuesday 11th from 9pm-1am. A mid-week gathering and a bit of a reunion with performances from Kevin Le Grand Bailor and DJs Alexandre & Afonso in town!
