Look Good, Feel Gorgeous – Get the Autumn look!

Things You Should Invest in this Autumn

The Autumn/Winter season is now in full swing (sigh). But it’s not all bad news! Here to help you remain every inch the style icon and avoid the cold, is our pick of the biggest Autumn Winter 2018 trends from fashion week. Amex at the ready, lads.

Top Pick: Check Everything

The runways have spoken and on this occasion we’re listening. Checks of variable geometry are definitely in this season and the more clashing those checks, the better. Bright checks, tartan trousers, plaid shirts, oversized patterns are all the name of the game! But that doesn’t mean to say you can’t introduce check in a more subtle way. Try going bold with a check trouser and muting it slightly with a plain tee, shirt – or better still – a roll neck! Matching check patterned suits can be introduced into your work wardrobe in varying degrees and can also be mix ’n’ matched with denim pieces to create a weekend look. Go on; give this one a go!

Roll Necks

What do Rick Astley, Shirley Carter and the Milk Tray Man have in common? They bloody love a roll neck – and so do we! As that cold weather creeps in you’re going to need one of these bad boys. Now, I know many of you may be put off by the idea of throwing on a roll neck but it really is a fantastically functional piece. To achieve an undeniably stylish look, dress your roll neck up with tailoring or wear it casually, with either leisurewear or denim – as long as you pair the colours well and nail the fit, you can’t go wrong. Try cashmere or merino wool turtle necks as the perfect layer for fall.

Denim Shirts

A denim shirt is our versatile little friend and your wardrobe will be craving it this winter. Sadly living in the UK with our unpredictable weather means that layering sometimes is the only option. Alas, versatile garments are key in order to form a well-constructed, layered, ensemble and there’s nothing that beats a denim shirt when it comes to adaptability. Pair it with plain tees, tailoring, or even the aforementioned roll neck and you’ll be onto a winner.

90’s Styling

Yup, the 90’s are back again. Full tracksuits, luxury twin-sets, some questionable velour shell suits, bucket hats and oversized sneakers. From KAPPA to Prada; everyone’s getting in on the action. Nothing wrong with feeling fashionably comfortable from time to time eh!

Brown Tones

Why not try and blend into the autumnal backdrop by adding some brown tones to your wardrobe? Bark-hued overcoats, bomber jackets and blazers mixed with dark denim are the way forward here. As much as the runways want us to be dressed head to toe in all things brown – you don’t want to come off looking like a delivery driver for UPS.
