Preview: Orange Nation’s Halloween Weekender

Hello, Vauxhall! My name’s WINIFRED!

There’s a rumour going around that Halloween is actually just one night, on the 31st of October. LIES. Anyone who’s anyone knows that it’s an entire week of wearing next to nothing, slapping on some devil horns and heading out to let your freak flag fly! The weekend before Halloween should be so hardcore, that when Halloween finally rolls around you won’t even need a costume, hung-over you is scary enough.

There really is one place where things will be going bump (and grind) in the night all weekend long, and that with the guys over at Orange Nation. They’ve got you covered for late night of creepin’ and jiving. A usual weekend for them is quite full on, but this Halloween weekend they’re taking it from a hundred to a six hundred and sixty six.

THE WEEKEND PASS

Much like an all-inclusive holiday, they’ve put together a ticket that’ll let you take your pick of the monstrosity of the weekend they have going on. 23 DJs have been mashed together into four balls to the wall parties to create a feast that you can’t help but tuck into. They’re offering you access to their entire weekend with just one little ticket. It’s sure to be the hottest one for this spooky season, with their A:M Purge party on Friday, then some Beyond action on Saturday night where they’re raising some hell. Then it’s the weekend’s flower-crowning glory on Sunday when WE Party joins in with their Day of the Dead party, then it’s off to the after party of course!

Available exclusively at OrangeNation.SeeTickets.com, £30.

A:M The Purge

Friday 26th of October, 11pm – 10am

At this party there really are no rules, very much like Purge night. Just maybe don’t go around murdering people, deal? It’ll be that classic A:M mix of House and Tech, with DJ’s Sordid Soundz, Arnaldo Novias and Danny Phillips.

Protocol at Fire, 6 South Lambeth Place, SW8 1SP. Free before 1am, £5 before 3am, £8 before 6am with concession/flyer/NUS, £15 OTD.

Beyond – Hellraiser

Saturday Night/ Sunday Morning, 27/28th of October, 4am – midday

They’re saencing up this 80’s horror classic. Go and get just like Hellraiser himself, hammered and (if you’re lucky) nailed. Taking the helm on Saturday are Nik Denton and Neil Singleton with a bunch of other DJs who’ll be playing you into Sunday lunch.

Fire, South Lambeth Road, SW8 1RT. £5 NUS/Industry, £13 concession/flyer before 7am, £16 OTD.

WE – Day of the Dead

Sunday 28th of October, 7pm – 3am

If you were ever curious what it would be like to swim in a sea of hairless, muscled bodies, then head to a WE Party. It’s a one stop shop for all your muscle hunk needs. Master of ceremonies Rafha Madrid will be getting the ghouls all hot under the collar.

Ministry of Sound, 103 Gaunt Street, SE1 6DP. Advanced tickets available at OrangeNation.co.uk.

The Orange Funky House of Horrors

Sunday 28th of October, Midnight – 6am

Not ones to half-arse an after party, Orange will be opening its doors once things have started to slow down over at Ministry. They’ve gone all out with tricks and treat that are sure to keep you going until it’s nearly time to start your work week.

Lightbox, South Lambeth Road, SW8 1RT. Industry free before 4am, £8 before 4am with conession/flyer/NUS, £13 OTD.

+PLUS a little treat from them to you… Hocus Pocus Screening

Tuesday 30th October

It’s the campiest Halloween film out there, so of course they’re having a screening. A bunch of themed cocktails, delicious food and plenty of seating area. This special screening is a FREE event.

Vauxhall Street Food Garden, 6A S Lambeth Place, SW8 1SP.
