Clubbing leviathans WE Party celebrate their eighth birthday at one of London’s biggest venues

Woooo! It’s WE Party time. Haven’t heard of WE Party? Well you have now! They’re a world-renowned gay party pilgrimage, known for their international DJ rosters, musclebound crowd and UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ music.

This is proper quintessential Queer As Folk gay clubbing. Like, this is what straight people imagine gay clubbing is like. It’s neon glowsticks, white t-shirts tucked into the waistband of Levis, lots of tanned torsos and glitter. It’s a right hoot! Sarah Palin would hate it (god, we haven’t thought of that name in a while! Where is she now? Who cares!)

We’re having a slew of nightclub birthdays at the moment – probably because this crazy party season is a great time to kick off a club night. December 1st marks WE Party’s eighth birthday party. Eight years is quite old for a club night. That’s older than our QX office dog Bailey! Older than Ariana Grande’s career (sort of, if you don’t count the Nickelodeon stuff).

Anyway, we digress. WE Pink is swaggering into Studio 338 down by the 02. We’ve been there ONCE before, and it’s huge – a capacity of over 1000, which is night-on unheard of in London. The full lineup is yet to be confirmed, but it’s gonna be a good ‘un.

WE Pink is on Saturday 1st December at Studio 338, 338 Boord Street, SE10 0PF. 11pm – 7am. Tickets available at seetickets.com
