Christmas Queens

Meet the stars of the festive dragstravaganza blizzarding into The Troxy tomorrow night

Blimey, get a load of this lot! Just when you thought you had time for a breather before Christmas, BAM, it’s the Christmas queens.

Yes, seven – SEVEN – of Drag Race’s most sparkling alumni are swishing into The Troxy in Limehouse this Saturday for an evening of delicious, diamond-studded debauchery.

It’s hosted by Bob The Drag Queen, with guest turns from Asia O’Hara, Blair St. Clair, Eureka O’Hara, Kameron Michael, Manila Luzon and Sharon Needles.

We wanted to do in depth, sit down interviews with every single one of them, but sadly there just AREN’T ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY. We need a timeturner. Hermione babes, can you send us yours?

In the end we decided to get a quick Christmas quote from each of the queens. We asked them the worst thing they’ve done at Christmas, obvs – see their quotes below! Apart from Blair St Claire, who was too busy picking out a festive fascinator.

“Last Christmas Eve, I eloped and got married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator (who looked nothing like Elvis.) It was a fantastic night, but come Christmas morning I had the most dreadful hangover of my life and the realization I still have to tell my family what we did without inviting them!”

 – Manila Luzon

“Oh god I don’t know? I was always an angel. Hmmmm. Well I told people not to buy me gifts cause I didn’t want to buy them anything. Guess that makes me half an angel?”

– Kameron Michaels

“When I was a senior in high school I lied and told my parents that my high school band was going to march in a Christmas parade in a neighboring state so I wouldn’t have to go out of town with them for Christmas.”

– Asia O’Hara

“One year on Christmas I killed my parents. Later that day I signed up for the Church of Latter-Day Satanists.”

– Sharon Needles

“Well… I do something bad every year on Christmas, I ignore my family’s invitation to come home.”

– Bob The Drag Queen

“The worst thing I did was break up with an ex. But then the next day we got back together and made up with sex!”

– Eureka O’Hara

Christmas Queens is on Saturday 8th December at The Troxy, 490 Commercial Road, E1 0HX. 7pm onwards. More info and tickets at christmasqueens.net.
