Comptons 30th Birthday Party

26/02/16: Thirty years here, thirty years Queer! The Grand Dame of Old Compton Street celebrates three decades of being one of the most respected and loved gems in the crown of Soho.

Officially established as a gay bar in 1986, Comptons of Soho has only looked forward, growing and growing, offering all it’s thanks and love to the hundreds of regulars who have kept this community heart beating for so long.

Congratulations to sweetheart general manager of 17 years, Neil Hodgson, for keeping it in great shape and putting on so many fabulous parties, with Friday’s being no exception!

With an avalanche of balloons and DJ sets from James Bartlett, Miswhite, and Severino, there were all kinds of deep funky tech house vibes to keep this party rolling into the extended early AM.

Raise a glass to Comptons, the bar which prides itself on being for the queers and by the queers – here’s to another thirty years!
