12/02/15: Last Thursday saw the opening of Vauxhall’s latest glam eatery and bar ‘Counter’, and what a night of glamourous shenanigans it was!
Upon waltzing over the glitzy threshold, we were greeted with a glass of bubbles – champers, darling – so evidently the hounds of Sherlock could tell the QX gurls were in the house! It was clear from the sparkling decor that they’re aiming this brasserie and bar at an up-market clientele.
The space is gorgeous, with a beautifully lit ambience, and was full to capacity with be-suited guys, hot media-types and boys in the know.
You’d never guess you were in a railway arch in South London. We certainly know where we’ll be picking up next Friday! Whilst we didn’t get to sample the food menu, owner Philip assures us it’s excellent and we’re looking forward to heading over again soon to get our tastebuds totally whetted.
If you fancy some style in civilized peace in SW8, this is definitely the venue for you. Cheers Counter and all who sail in her!
