GLAM JAM

14/01/13: Now in its fourth year, Glam Jam – A West End Show continues to go from strength to strength with its unconventional and flamboyant formula, and this week we were pleased to attend the launch of their new Monday residency at North London’s spiritual home of drag, the Black Cap.

Hosted by Lady Imelda and CJ – two über-talented and versatile performers who’s diverse repertoire and credits include West End shows, national tours and concert platforms, Glam Jam is a musical melange of whatever inspires the two ladies on the night.

We were treated to a Les Mis medley in honour of the new film as well as some classic musicals and an Evergreen selection of Streisand, but equally on other nights you could be faced with anything from stage and opera, through jazz and blues, to pop, soul and beyond!

There is also the opportunity for audience participation as guest singers/performers are invited to perform a number or two and with the large and sophisticated space of the Shufflewick Bar as its home, there is also plenty of scope for chat and conversation. A truly brilliant three hours of entertainment.
