MANBAR

21/06/13:  QX got macho for a sultry summer’s evening in the heart of London’s fashionable West End as Manbar threw open the doors for a torrid soiree that had guys pouring through the doors ‘til late last Friday.

Already renowned for its colourful wall paintings by homoerotic artist Mikesbliss – including an eye-catching pop-art rendering of a topless Prince Harry taking pride of place behind the DJ booth – the happening hotspot is currently hosting ‘Foreseen Paths’, an exhibition of cutting edge images with an uncompromising homosexual bent by photographer William To.

With so much impressive stuff on the visuals front, there was still plenty to get worked up about elsewhere, with two floors of weekend antics including the very latest DJ sounds, complete with a dazzling light and laser show that saw us spinning around like disco stars in front of the decks.

Meanwhile, the buff bar boys were as accommodating as ever, serving up a veritable smorgasbord of reasonably priced refreshments into the small hours. It’s no wonder the place is so popular.

Check out the action at Manbar this week – open ‘til 3am Monday to Saturday!
