23/08/15: We do love a bit of Cake & Cabaret here in QX Towers and thanks to those nice people at the Old Ship in Limehouse, it was time for their delicious annual event in aid of the Albert Kennedy Trust.
They presented a plethora of drag acts to make you laugh, cry, sing, dance and, most importantly, get rid of that loose change bulging out your pockets (which is never in season).
As well as all those fabulous queens that give their time for free at this event to perform and help raise much needed funds for the AKT, they had a special star guest, none other than Sir Ian Mckellen, who is a patron of the Albert Kennedy Trust.
Sir Ian was very kind to give up some of his time and deliver a fantastic speech highlighting the charity’s aims, after which he joined us all for few pints and of course some delicious cake. He’s a true gent, very humble and we thank him for all he does for the Albert Kennedy trust!
