OLD SHIP FEATURING
MISS JASON

01/06/13: On Saturday, as the sun set in the west, we jumped on an east bound train to Limehouse to kick off a night of live cabaret and music. First up was the all-new and trim Miss Jason at the launch of the all new Old Ship.

An old traditional boozer (The Ship not Miss Jason) just opposite Limehouse station, new gov’nor John has been given a new 15 year license and the pub has been spruced up!

The old net curtains have gone, but the tried and tested fixtures, like Miss Ross behind the bar, are still there. MJ, off the booze (except when forced) since her heart trouble, is the perfect act with her brilliant acidic wit and quick repartee insulting and entertaining in equal measure.

Old school renditions of ‘Blame It On The Bossa Nova’, ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ and ‘Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)’ had the packed pub singing along, and if she hadn’t had to rush off to across town for a late show I’m sure she’d still be on stage right now!

Miss Jason we adore you and will be voting for you in the Golden handbags!
