PROFILE

19/10/12: A funny thing happened at Profile bar last Saturday… I realise this is like the start of some Frank Carson joke… if you don’t know Frank Carson is, ask someone old enough to not think Lady GaGa is God.

We minced down to Profile at a sensible hour – 8pm, just after the X Factory had tolled out it’s latest well-worn cliché – only to find groups of hotties co-mingling around the booths, cackling over cocktails and chatting about which queen did who at last weekend’s chillout.

The whole vibe was a relaxed, fun, post-dinner crowd of good times. We nipped out for ten minutes for cheeky fag and to exchange gossipy banter with tonight’s Lo-Profile super special guest spinner Jodie Harsh, who had just arrived on the back of a gogo boy, and when we returned inside, the place had exploded!

The booths were partially abandoned, now surrounded by fags and their hags, tight-T-shirted muscle boys and lushes on the lash. Suddenly, the walk to the bar took an extra five minutes.

What quite happened in those ten minutes of smokeage, we’ll never know (there’s that investigative journalism coming to the fore) but dinner time was well and truly over, and the place was heaving with Soho hotties dancing to some of the hottest house sounds we’ve heard in a West End bar for yonks.

Before we knew it, it was time for a sashay downstairs to Lo-Pro, where Ms Harsh pulled off a STORMING set! How did a civilised 8pm drink turn into a sweaty, early morning dancing sesh? That’s Profile/Lo-Profile – and we love it!
