03/04/13: After a very large Easter weekend, by Wednesday we were definitely in recovery mode and so we headed down to Manbar for a touch of nostalgia at Revival.
Spinning a refreshing mix of tunes straight from his iPad (how very modern for a night called Revival!), Brent Nicholls was at the whim of the punters as Miss Jonny Hooley worked the crowd, prying out their deepest darkest vinyl desires.
With a large dose of fun as well as a fabulous trip down memory lane, last week’s playlist included Gloria Gaynor, Wham and Deelite as well as Rihanna, Soft Cell and the PSBs – eclectic doesn’t come close!
The proceedings were watched over by a life-sized Kylie and for the few who were disappointed their choices weren’t on the seemingly bottomless iPad Brent has promised to get them for the week after. Revival, where everything old is new again! Every Wednesday from 10pm.
