31/10/10: Rupert Street amalgamated a burning slice of Vauxhall’s beats with Soho’s inimitable style last Sunday night, as they celebrated Halloween with superstar DJ Alessandro on the decks. The bar shone with a dim indigo ambience and a great number of handsome, well-dressed men jostled and smiled with one another in the space, as some brilliant rhythms and killer hooks slammed and scissored around them. Sunday offers on some gorgeous champagne cocktails (we’d recommend the Champ Red Bull – champagne mixed with vodka red bull, guaranteed to get your night going!) kept gullets waxing and faces relaxed and friendly. People watched near-naked muscled boys on the TV screens, vogued to the music or chatted away in groups, and everyone admired the bar staff decked out as sinister circus clowns and vaudeville drag queens. As we left the party showed no signs of abating yet, so another hit on the roster for Rupert Street, we feel.
