19/12/14: QX Bar News hit seasonal Soho as The Edge ramped it up for the festive fortnight in classic style last weekend.
A two-day Christmas bash saw the yuletide throng piling in for three thrilling floors of gift-wrapped grooves and happening hospitality at one of the West End’s most popular homo hotspots on Friday. Hosted by Ms Felicia Van Cartier, in all her glitzy panto dame splendour, the frolics kicked off at the door with a well-heeled crowd of cuties rocking a convivial atmosphere inside. Highlights saw the likes of Keyth David whipping up a snowstorm of commercial remix anthems at the decks on the ground floor that had us bouncing our braids and loosening up our joints like Dorothy and the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. Upstairs and sophisticated young things joined in the Chrimbo countdown for bauble-crunchin’ radio raves with DJ KrizZ on the second floor. As if that wasn’t enough to keep the goodwill flowing, those extra-buff Edge bar boys had the Champagne corks a-poppin’ and bubbles a-flowin’ into night for rousing repartee, social shenanigans and a whole lot more.
