01/11/14: The annual Two Brewers Hallowe’en celebrations are always hotly anticipated and this year was no exception as a weekend stuffed full of events had their Day Of The Dead fancy dress competition at its pinnacle.
Hosted by the deliciously dead-glam CK with a sickening spooky set of Hot Stuff, Little Shop Of Horrors, Better The Devil et al, 13 wannabes were invited to the stage then whittled down by the judges until the £300 first prize was awarded fro The Beast from Beauty And The Beast, and the £200 second prize to Edward Scissorhands. We were also particularly keen on the 8 man zombie football team, a green-eyed muscle dragon, a blue tutu’d clown in underpants and a lycra-clad sexy Spiderman. With the venue packed with prosthetic make-up, drag gore and blood splattered naked torsos, it was difficult to choose a victim to sink our fangs in to, but being the professionals we are we managed! Cue spooky laugh… ha ha ha ha ha ha …
