22/08/13: As your average mundane Thursday night in Clapham goes, this was certainly not one of them! Up there with London’s most prolific cabaret venues, last week the ‘Brewers showcased just why it remains Queen of the Pack when it threw on a night of entertainment featuring some of the biggest names on the gay circuit in London.
Fresh off a jet from the USA, Pam Ann was back at her spiritual London home for another sold out event. The queen of jet slagging, the one-night stand and the mother of all lay-overs, got her finely toned sexy ass over Clapham-way for a special one-off show that delivered a non-stop barrage of bitchy put-downs, cunty quips and other acid-tongued fuck offery as only Pam Ann can deliver. Like a Concorde on crack, nobody was safe, least of all one of her favourite punch bags, namely the old gals of American Airlines: “Their faces can stop a train in Madrid!” Ouch. EasyJet, British Airways, Lufthansa and the sluts at Virgin Atlantic were all lined-up to be executed in typical Pam Ann style.
After Pammy closed her show, the crowds piled into the Cabaret bar to watch another scene legend show off exactly why she’s still at the top of the game decades later. (And by game we are not referring to her notoriety as a cheap ass whore!) Sandra effortlessly entertained the crowd, pulling one punter after the next to the stage, and even getting a full-on lip lock from each – and one of them was even a lesbian! No human being is safe from Sandra’s voracious sexual appetite for anything that breathes.
After Sandra’s eighteenth encore, the fun continued well into the early hours as Rose Garden and Mitzi delivered our first experience of their new duo, Bitch ‘N’ Synk, a double act with two faces (each) and more bile and bitchiness than an episode of Dynasty meets Dallas crossed with EastEnders crass. Now, that’s how we like to do Thursday nights.
