WEST 5
Posted on May 1, 2011
01/05/11: After a long weekend in dark clubs, our chlorophyll was in desperate need of some daylight, so we popped along to our good friends out west at West 5 in South Ealing for their super Sunday karaoke. With a finger buffet provided by glamourpuss hostess Jackie Union and free shots for every performer, the queue to warble was long and varied. We had old school swing like ‘Smoke Gets In Your Eyes’ and ‘I Got You Under My Skin’, classics like Candi Stanton’s ‘You Got The Love’, a bit of metal from Meatloaf and even the cast of Rent from the Questor’s Theatre Ealing (open 11-18th June) with their superb rendition of ‘525,600 Minutes’. As usual the audience were a glorious mix of local totty and hot boys we never normally see out on the scene and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, 2 of the HOT gymnasts from Britain’s Got Talent winners Spellbound walked through the door. #DiedAndGoneToHeaven.
