WHITE SWAN

14/04/12: Much in the news recently regarding the Tower Hamlets licensing fiasco, we popped along to one of the East End’s oldest gay venues, the White Swan, on a non-stripper night to check out the scene.

With shows going on stage quite late, when we arrived it was still fairly quiet, but suddenly, out of no where there was a massive queue outside and people started arrived in droves!

As a non-West End pub, the clientele tend to comprise mostly local East Enders and Essex boys (yum!) making for a young, fresh, and we have to say quite hot, crowd of lads and a few girls.

Just after midnight the cabaret fanfare was played and the great Band With No Name took to the stage, with an eclectic set comprising Gaga, Glee, Adele and even Steps, their rock sound is live and fresh.

Outside, the large garden is slowly coming in to its own as the evenings warm up and this Sunday 22nd, they have an all day charity event, as the London Marathon passes by – and what a perfect place to watch some hot totty in lycra working up a sweat!

It’s no secret that we here at QX Towers love our local venues, and the White Swan is always one of the best.
