28/03/14: “Humble diva” Angie Brown came to town and left a smiling pile of sweat-soaked fans in her wake Friday night at Clapham Common’s Kazbar. Ms. “I’m Gonna Get You Baby” herself arrived straight from hospital (our thoughts are with her family) and stomped, funked, shouted and crooned her way through three octaves and two generations of her hits. That’s how a pro does it, punk!
28/02/14: Boys bolted out of their Bedsits and clammered down to Kazbar for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Best Song BAFTA gong winner Katherine Ellis share the stage with Bedsit Boys DJs Robb White and Eduardo Herrera.
24/01/14: Friday kicked off the weekend with a new beat on the street – nu disco that is. Club visionary Robb White’s Bedsit Boys took up residency at Kazbar, Clapham Common’s cozy club of hip locals, fresh faces and hardworking he-men, grr. Ringside Robb and the delectable DJ Eduardo Herrera shook up the folks “down the common” with funky rhythms and soul-searing heights of nu-disco and house.
KAZBAR’S 18TH BIRTHDAY
28/09/13: Young, sexy and full of juice! Yes the Kazbar turned 18 this past weekend and it was hot!
KELE LE ROC AT KAZBAR
26/05/13: Kazbar Stage is beginning to become the place to be for some of our favourite pop stars of the recent years.
EUROVISION ROUND-UP: 2 BREWERS / KAZBAR / THE BRIDGE
18/05/13: Ah, Eurovision. Yes, it was that time of the year again when we got to check out the talent of other countries beyond Gran Canaria’s barmen at Gay Pride. Big hair, big key changes and enough polyester to bring down a nation with just a naked flame. Eurovision 2013 was not to be missed.
KAZBAR WITH ANGIE BROWN
05/05/13: Ah, 1992. Alan Shearer was in our wank bank, Whitney Houston was in The Bodyguard, and Ethel’s Willy was put down in Eastenders. It was also the year we danced in stone-washed denim to Angie Brown.
KAZBAR SUNDAY LOCK-IN
31/03/13: At QX Towers, we’re more than partial to a cheeky pub lock-in! We’ve found most of our business/shags/story ideas in various drunken stupors post-trading hours! But Clapham’s finest, Kazbar, have taken things up a notch with their awesome (and legal!) Sunday Lock-in, which make sure Sarf London homoxualists end the weekend on a high.
