29/01/11: We always find ourselves strangely drawn to a fit brown body with a tan line, so when Brazil’s favourite club The Week touched down in London last Saturday, we donned our tightest vest and lucky pants and headed to the Coronet. From Adrianna’s warm greeting on the door to the slick coat check, everything worked like clockwork and got us in to the club in record time where seemingly the whole of London had turned out for the first big party of the year. The stage was a carnival style riot of feathers, snakes, fire breathers, angle grinders, Capoeira dancers and hot, hot gogos. Guest DJ from Brazil, Leandro Becker, and UK’s residents DouGuim and MikeyD played the top notch party tunes as pyros and confetti cannons lit up the cathedralesque space like it was New Year’s Eve on Ipanema beach. Superb production, super hot crowd AND the lucky pants worked, we hope The Week returns soon!
