BRAVA

28/08/11: London went wild for the birth of a clubbing superpower as the brains behind WE Party and Beyond unleashed a bank holiday summer blockbuster with the launch of Brava last Sunday. Showcasing some of the biggest talent on the club scene, an astounding line-up of top class DJ names and massive production saw the all-new Electric Brixton (formerly The Fridge) erupting in a frenzy of cutting-edge hi-tech and dazzling visuals that had the capacity crowd truly agog.

Splicing Fritz Lang’s seminal 1920’s flick ‘Metropolis’ with vintage Soviet iconography, Roman homoerotica and a hefty chunk of future glamour, Brava lived up to its press release hype with an industrial DJ scaffold acting as a gigantic backdrop for some of the most impressive club graphics we’ve ever seen – not to mention state of the art lasers and lighting. (It was all so mind-bogglingly spectacularly impressive that we’ll forgive the paint not being dry in the toilets!)

Meanwhile, none other than Grammy award winning all-rounder, Peter Rauhofer, had us transfixed with a pumping soundtrack for a cohort of sexed-up, sci-fi go-gos, marching like cinematic robots under a laser-beam sky. No wonder the ocean of clubbers went crazy on the dancefloor.

Grand-scale partying just got even more epic – we can’t wait to see what they come up with next time. Bring on Brava Part Deux!
