23/04/11: QX Club News danced the disco resurrection as the supersized shenanigans returned for another mega As One bash at the Fire arches last weekend.
Following on from its total roadblock of a New Year’s event, the likes of Lovechild, Megawoof!, Queer Nation, Lo Profile, Trannyshack, A:M, Casa Latina, RAW and Ku Bar combined their formidable forces for an Easter bank holiday bonanza that had our dancing feet twitching in anticipation. We weren’t to be disappointed as a line-up of massive DJ names entertained a riotous crowd of Vauxhall rampagers deep into the night.
Our best bits included Megawoof! maestro Daz Saund getting funky in the fabulous Lightbox, whilst the sparks truly flew in the Mirror Arch as top deck talent Eduardo de la Torre went up against a trio of half naked angle-grinders on stage. Over in the revamped main room, Paul Heron raised the roof with an astounding set of slamming tunes, whilst Leandro Kloppel kept it chilled in the Lounge. And with temperatures going off the scale indoors, there was welcome relief to be had in the Fire Garden as the antics continued ‘til late, before the crazy crew moved across the road to Beyond at Area!
