01/01/12: One of the most spectacular parties that lives up to the words ‘mental’, ‘madness’ and ‘mayhem’ hit Vauxhall town on New Year’s Day again!
Yes, you got it! As One was here. With the whole of Fire open, four famous brands in each room: Orange, Trade, Raw, Megawoof, with alternative East London club night clubTheMenWhoFell2Earth in the fifth room.
The massive As One board at the entrance got my juices flowing, that’s all it took and I was reminiscing about the good times once had there. And if you snoozed through NYD night, you definitely did lose as this party was insane. It was rammed, just think battery farming with mirror balls and you will get the idea. I was wet with sweat – not mine by the way.
The DJs responsible for our sore blistering feet were the Sharp Boys, The Oli, Smokin’ Jo, Fat Tony and his gal Tonnic, Nick Tcherniak, Gonzalo, David Jimenez and many, many more! Each room pumped its own infamous sounds and boasted it’s own décor.
We had commercial uplifting house, deep and chunky, tech, you name it we had it. A playground of fun, with hot men everywhere from all walks of life, gogos, friendly scene faces, the whole Fire garden to roam and plenty of bars to drink our sins away. There isn’t a place quite like it if you ask me. A long road to recovery has began. Chicken and chips is well and truly on order!
