BANJEE BOY REALNESS

28/09/12: Dalston was given a generous dose of ghetto glam this Friday as ‘Banjee Boy Realness’ came to bust open the ‘Superstore bringing rhythm, swagger and attitude to Kingsland Road.

We were given exactly what we were promised from the moment those doors swung open, with a horde of hot home-boy homos who displayed no shortage of gold chains for us to get our claws on!

Along with the afros, snap-back caps and baggy pants, DJs Matthew Josephs and Jack Smith made sure the floor was bouncing with everything from Nicki Minaj to old school hip-hop and dare we say it, Lil’ Kim.

The pounding bass lines and pumping atmosphere that we know and love the ‘Superstore for was evident in the basement with DJ Josh Caffe spinning his delectable ‘Bitch House’ mix, a blend of house and disco that sounded so good, no swagger could have taken us away from the dance floor.

Bulging baggy sweatpants on the other hand, might have!
