BEAR NECESSITY

23/03/13: QX Club News kept its finger firmly on the pulse of London’s ever-evolving gay club scene as Bear Necessity rocked the weekend with a rampaging re-launch at a brand new home last Saturday.

Covert was the place to be for lovers of beefed-up blokes and grizzly grooves as the recently refurbished pleasure palace played host to a night of block-rockin’ shenanigans that had a crowd of gruff guys going for broke in the heart of the Vauxhall village.

Hairy highlights included devastating DJ duo Done & Dusted (aka Alan X and Louis Lennon) setting fire to the main dancefloor with a rampant rundown of hulking house licks that had the scrum of gorgeous guys going wild.

Next door, veteran funkster, Ben Jamin, put his paws to good use with a slammin’ underground set featuring all our current top raves – whilst we can only imagine what was going on behind a long black curtain on the first floor balcony (although we don’t have to imagine very hard).

Elsewhere, there was laid back schmoozing galore in the elegant upstairs Champagne lounge, complete with sumptuous sofas and a fully-stocked bar, as the antics continued into the dawn.  Watch this space for details of the next Bear Necessity bonanza!
