05/05/12: Home to some of the coolest club nights in town, mega-party venue Egg notched up another spectacular year on the block with a ‘Berlin Berlin’ birthday extravaganza that had the crazed crowds flocking to King’s Cross last weekend.
QX Club News swagged a clutch of hot tickets to the VIP pre-bash in the Apothecary annexe as a glammed-up throng got to quaffing Champers and wolfing down canapés in advance of a fashion catwalk parade featuring tranny terrorist, Jonny Woo.
Putting the real girls to shame in six feet of gold lamé, skyscraper heels and superstar hair, our Jonny certainly kicked off the proceedings in style, romping down the runway with riotous aplomb.
Meanwhile, there was über excitement to come as Berlin’s finest DJs brought the edgy spirit of Kreuzberg to the streets of London, with the likes of Monika Kruse, Kaiserdisco and Oosterwal taking on local talent D Ramirez and Pagano for a full scale mash-up that saw the party rockin’ through the night. Here’s to another year of rocket-boosted rampaging at the one and only Egg!
